Education

Our Museum has developed a strong educational program that meets California education curriculum standards thereby attracting 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students from the entire Bay Area for field trip learning experiences.  Not only is the education program popular amongst the local school districts, but it is revered by other local museums as the program to emulate.  We have set the standard of excellence that others desire to achieve.

Here are a few details about the daily programs for elementary school children.  The museum, with help from the Museum Foundation, provides busses for the children to come to the museum to learn about the history and culture of Campbell and the Santa Clara Valley (The Valley of Heart's delight).  Here they learn what it was like to do the laundry using an old wringer washing tub and hanging the clothes on a clothes line to dry.  They learn about the fruit canning business which was the first economic engine of the valley. They learn what it was like to dress in clothing of the era.  And, they learn about the early families of our valley, including the Ainsleys.
